Tropical Balkan · From São Paulo to the world
About
Theo Mizú is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and composer from São Paulo who chose the world as home, performing at festivals, venues and on the street across Europe and Asia.
His sound, which he calls Tropical Balkan, fuses Brazilian grooves with Balkan, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences. With his band he won Best Street Band in São Paulo at Toca Aí in 2018.
In 2024 UMMONTE filmed a full set at Jazz House in Pai, Thailand, built around the original "Mansão de 7 Quartos".
